Fine dust formed up to 80% from burning, this particulate matter is a major polluant of the city where the fleet of vehicles had gorwn to over 7 million.
The particles are suspended in the air especialy in dry and cold days.
The worst result was found in the Republica do Libano in Moema in the south rigth next to Ibirapuera Park.
In an office the air meter showed 123 micrograms of particles per cubic meter, almost four times above the ideal.
